Last weekend I went to the first football game of the season with my friends. Southern played against IUP(Indiana University of Pennsylvania). The game started at 1:00 pm and there were about 3,000 people at the game. Everyone got free t-shirts to wear to the game! There were many people cheering and holding up signs and some people even painted their faces blue&white. It was a very close game which made it very intense! After the first quarter the score was 7-0 IUP. In the second quarter Southern scored two touchdowns and IUP scored one to make the score 14-14 at halftime. In the third quarter IUP scored another touchdown but missed the extra point so the score was 20-14 after the third. IUP went ahead again in the fourth quarter to win the game and the final scored was 30-20. Even though Southern lost I had a fun time watching the game with my friends and I am excited for the next one!
